This reptile lounge comes in at 48 inches long, making it spacious enough for iguanas, tortoises, even hamsters if you’re into multi-species setups. The ECOFLEX material gives it a unique edge—it resists moisture, doesn’t trap odors, & can be cleaned with minimal effort. The removable glass doors give direct access for feeding & spot-cleaning, & they slide smoothly without jamming. The locking system, while basic, is reliable enough to keep curious pets—or children—out. Ventilation is handled through two side vents & the top mesh screen, which really improves airflow, especially for pets that need a dry, well-ventilated space.
Setting this up was refreshingly easy. No tools needed, just align the panels, lock them in place, & it’s done in under 20 minutes. The instructions are straightforward, with clearly labeled parts. During testing, I housed a bearded dragon inside for a week. He adapted quickly, basked comfortably, & the temperature stayed consistent with a standard heat lamp setup. Cleaning was simple—no lingering smells, no scrubbing. On the flip side, while the ECOFLEX material is solid, it’s not scratch-proof. The strengths? It’s light for its size, well-ventilated, & thoughtfully designed with pet safety in mind. The sliding doors don’t have soft stops, so they can slam if you’re not careful, & the vent screens aren’t fine-meshed enough to stop fruit flies or tiny insects from getting in. Also, this isn’t ideal for high-humidity species—there’s just too much ventilation for that.
For the price point, this lounge falls in the mid-range. You’re paying more than a basic glass terrarium but less than high-end PVC enclosures. Considering the materials, size, & ease of setup, it does deliver reasonable value. You’re not getting bells & whistles like built-in lighting or a humidity gauge, but what’s here works as promised.
Compared to traditional glass tanks of similar size, the Mojave Lounge is easier to move, doesn’t shatter, & holds heat surprisingly well with proper insulation. Against pricier PVC options, it loses points for durability & insulation, but wins on ease of access & assembly. It sits nicely in the middle of the reptile enclosure market—good for those upgrading from starter tanks but not yet ready to drop hundreds on custom setups.
The build quality is where this habitat shines. Panels lock tight without gaps, the mesh top is secure, & the ECOFLEX walls don’t warp from heat or moisture. After multiple cleanings & a week of use, there’s no sign of warping, peeling, or odor absorption. It feels built for the long haul—though not indestructible, it’s well above average for the price bracket.
I haven’t had direct experience with New Age Pet’s customer service, but the brand has a generally solid reputation for responsive support, especially around missing parts or setup questions. That’s reassuring if you’re a first-time buyer or planning to use this for exotic pets.
If you’re looking for a cheaper alternative, you might consider a standard 40-gallon glass breeder tank with a mesh lid. You’ll lose the stylish design & customization perks, but you’ll save money & still have something functional. Just expect more setup hassle & trickier cleaning.

The New Age Pet ECOFLEX Mojave Reptile Lounge is a thoughtfully designed, easy-to-assemble, & visually appealing enclosure that suits a range of dry-habitat reptiles & small mammals. It offers strong airflow, easy maintenance, & decent security—but isn’t ideal for pets needing high humidity or escape-proof enclosures. It’s a great fit for mid-level reptile keepers who want a clean look without complicated setup. Not flawless, but it delivers on its promises & then some.
